Laura Tanata completed her Masters of Music Performance at the Australian National University School of Music in 2007, under the tuition of harpist Alice Giles. Laura has been a member of the Seven Harp Ensemble (SHE) since the early 2000s when it was previously known as the Kioloa Harp Ensemble.
Laura has also been involved with the Griffyn Ensemble since 2006; an active Canberra based chamber ensemble with a passion of presenting rarely performed works and new music, often with a unique theatrical flair.
In 2011, Laura founded her own business, Vermilion Music, with the ambition to cater music for all occasions. For further information visit her Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/VermilionMusic
The harp has given Laura plenty of opportunities to travel Australia and the world, visiting cities such as San Francisco, Beijing and Aberdeen. She has released an album with SHE and is currently planning to record with the Griffyn Ensemble in 2017.
